Quite a lot of people not keen on him, but I think he may well do ok

I think he will be a decent signing and only on loan so not exactly the end of the world if it doesn't. I'd still like to see Origi come in if possible, I think he's underrated and will give us a different option up front which i think we still lack

Ayew is a loan with option to buy in Jan. Also read that he is a RLC replacement.

We have 3 strikers and Ayew if needed I hope we can get a CB in on loan.

I think we look extremely short in cover for centre back. Tomkins and Sakho have both had injury problems as of course has Dann. That would leave Kelly as our main centre back. Additionally, would love to see Bolasie return as a back up for Townsend/Zaha (he will likely end up in the starting XI).

New boy Kouyate apparently plays centre back with some aplomb. Not his preferred position but he's more than able to fill in.

3 very similar strikers though, one of which is an injury risk and will at least take a while to get back to form, I think most of us have a question mark over whether Sorloth is ready and who knows if we'll have the free scoring Benteke back. I agree some defensive options would be good but I think we still need another striker, then we can send Sorloth and Wickham out on loan

Reported this morning we have recieved a bid for Jairo [Link]

Wonder if that sale will fund another signing or loan signing.

Still iffy on this one. Think Riedewald could still do a job for us and if nothing else continue as a good squad player

At the moment this looks a good window.
Most importantly Zaha staying put.
Furthermore, Kouyaté could prove to be an excellent signing.
He gives extra height, energy and strength in midfield and he’s a decent footballer.Against opponents like Cardiff, Hulddersfield and Burnley these attributes are important and will help the midfield from being outmuscled.
Meyer is an unknown quantity but has good pedigree and hopefully he can help get over the loss of Cabaye.
Ayew likes to run in behind defences and can play across the front line and he gives Palace different options going forward.
Also a new goalkeeper which has been needed for a while.

... on £55k a week and maybe a £10 million asset we could cash in on to bolster other more pressing areas. We’re not in a position to do that by choice. We’ve hardly been inundated with interest I wouldn’t have thought.

Yes I’m happy. We’ve been smart this time.

But don’t get carried away. I thought West Brom had a decent window getting good prices last summer and look. We won’t go down but best to be cautiously optimistic. It’s only any injuries to key players that’ll stuff us this time, and even then there’s good players available, hopefully.

Maybe he wants first team football and not just play part time? If he goes and Punch ends up staying then I'll be pissed off.

Can't remember where I read it this morning but have seen it reported somewhere that there is interest from others in Puncheon.
