Jimmy Mc and Ayew looking good. Good work rate. Meyer was unlucky with that deflected shot, it looked goal bound.

Was hoping for a crappy 0-0 and these difficult conditions certainly benefit us.

Mina has Benteke in his pocket, not that that's difficult. Ayew looking useful.

I didnt realise what we were missing last season until we fixed it this summer, our midfield actually win the ball! it takes so much pressure off our defenders. We are winning the ball against a proper fantastic Everton midfield. Even Ayew is winning the ball for us and Benteke is forcing Everton to rush at the back! This looks like a Hodgeson squad. We keep playing the ball behind Benteke which is a bit frustrating but we actually look rugged.

Regardless of how this turns out, we are going to be fine...

I could well be cursing palace but our back 4 have done a great job in the first half.

They may not be the quickest but they do give 100%

Benteke... although hasn't had lots of service, does need to run more.
Van aanholt is more of a concern than Ward is for me.

Ok guys I'm asking for your help because my memory may fail. Has Benteke always been like that? That is, has he ever been capable of running more than 5 yards? I'm bloody serious, I'd bet he was a very better athlete, at Liverpool...

I am pretty sure he is doing what he has been told to do.

Agreed, I said throughout last season that a new left-back was a transfer priority, and there is an unacceptable amount of space for Everton to operate down our left today.
