Johnson lost yet another vote in the HOC today meaning that MPs will have longer on Saturday to debate and also propose amendments.

That could actually be quite significant, maybe allowing Benn to kick in.

But why are they voting on this so soon, surely the 'deal' will be a complicated international treaty, how will they have sufficient knowledge to decide within only 2 days?

65 pages on the net.
I'm sure most can read that in a couple of hours.
Another excuse as corbyn has already picked out some clauses and preached how bad they are.
If this fails because of labour, when a GE comes round they will get wasted.

Not that I'm saying it will have enough support. Just that the clock is ticking down and so a few more than expected might decide to stick rather than twist!

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

Nope. Just reminding others to read and use whatever small amount of intellect available to make sure they’re not jumping the gun

I agree with W12 - as much as I’d like it to go through, as someone who wanted a deal, this will not get through Parliament.

However - contrary to most Brexiters on here who seem to have completely forgotten how many false dawns they have had, no-deal exit on the 31st by default is far from certain. If you do some reading you’ll understand why. Just keeps rollin on

Here we go again I do understand why and my post above shows I do not think it will go through. Funny if Parliament reject it and the EU will not extend

EU leaves door open to Brexit extension, in blow to Boris Johnson.

Member states decline to follow Jean-Claude Juncker, who ‘ruled out’ further delay.....

There's definitely plenty of opposition. I do wonder if brexit debate fatigue will set in though, and it might just get over the line. I always figured that the potential solution would be one that nobody was entirely over the moon about, and that seems to sum this up.

It doesn’t work as Brexit. This whole bollox about a deal is entirely just that. There is only one way we will leave in any meaningful way now and everyone knows it.

Apparently the FT are predicting Boris is short by 3 votes. If it's that close I expect the whips will be getting out the thumbscrews and the negatives.

Have a read lads. It’s really *interesting*

(It’s not but at least read it to have some valid opinions)

The thinking is, I believe that the DUP will really struggle with this, so if Labour are whipped it's difficult to see where the votes are.

The backstop.
This was the red line for labour.
It's gone now.
Full of crap and more.
Political move because it's a tory deal.

There isn't my truth or your truth. There is just truth.

"Populist" is a term applied to both left and right leaning politicians by observers whose own political views are also mixed. It isn't "wrong by definition". It just is. It is a style of politics which has become more apparent in recent years which, in my view, is an unhealthy development driven by the ability of certain politicians to use modern media to reach the people directly without the filter of objective analysis by informed observers. Thus facts become distorted and lies become truths.

Piffle.

The great unwashed have been trusted to vote in elections based on a wide range of issues while being told a wide range of lies and suddenly in 2016 they are too uninformed to vote in a referendum on a future that not a single expert could predict with any certainty?

Where is all this truthful unbiased information to from?

Just shut up. You talk utter bollocks.

Yup fair point but as I said earlier Labour has about 25 MPs who could lose their seats in a GE that is probably weeks away. Will they obey Corbyn and go down with the ship or will they think this is an opportunity to defy Corbyn and try and bring him down.
