On the news now, France saying they had Covid in December.Maybe we were the early victims! As I mentioned before I had a strange illness at the end of Jan, beginning of Feb, which took me off my feet for a couple of days. It was a very fast onset, I felt lethargic, lost appetite, high fever and dry cough. I went to bed for 2 days, slept spasmodically and then felt OK again almost as quickly. It wasn't like anything I had experienced before. I brushed it off as one of those things you get but subsequent events have caused me to wonder. I hope I can get an antibody test as, if that proves positive, that will be interesting.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

End of Jan, beginning of Feb sounds a bit more possible. I’m still sceptical it was Covid though. This virus spreads and multiplies fast and if it was in Truro then it would’ve probably been all over England rather than mainly London and would’ve infected many and have been out of control in 2 months plus before our lockdown on 23 March.

I'm sure if the truth be known and every death tested both here and abroad we would be higher along with many other countries. Albeit that is the uk as a whole not just england.

Because of how care homes operate and lack of PPE. It’s the only conclusion that I can come to so far. Until this plays out more it’s just a stage in a long race you wouldn’t want to be leading.

Okay he was wrong to do this but right now we need all the experts we can get. Does it really help the country that he resigns?

I despair at this. Unfortunately I think there’s going to be so many who think it’s one rule them and one for the rest of us. But I don’t know if he should be kept on. What does that say to everyone? And even worse there’s loads of people applying their own rules. Teenagers, large companies, 2 bus drivers having a close up face to face chat on the pavement earlier. I know they’re exposed and under stress but they should know that’s not sensible or necessary to be within a foot of each other.

He was playing a critical role so I hope he gets a smacked wrist and continues to do his work quietly and out of the public eye for a while. Now isn't the time to get too politically correct and moralistic although what he did was pretty stupid if what is reported is actually the whole truth.
