Transflavour cakes ( From sweet to savoury) want uni-bakes facilities.

Gooseberry fool will be pushing for IQ quotas in shop front windows

Workplaces can become toxic with a few dynamic characters. Cake is a way of trying to placate the reactionary elements of the workforce, who don't take kindly to being exploited.
Call it a feeble attempt at "Team Bonding", to try and gloss over the bigger 'issues' in the working environment.
A bit like the dirty old man giving a kid a sweetie if she pulls her knickers down.

And please spare a thought for Trans Fats. Greggs is the last place they should be!

I have been placated by Victoria Sponges and flapjacks etc but once the raspberry jam or golden syrup wears off I'm nobody's fool, or mousse for that matter. And private v public? You're old hat i'm afraid, they've merged the two together into one unaccountable PFI gravy train run by a payroll of made-up managers who spout disingenuous behaviourist psychobabble. No cake, not even your best black forest gateaux or classic carrot cake will buy me out, I'm way past the cake stage, like the OP.

I like it when people bring them in. More cakes for me. Some people just bring them in to create a more harmonious atmosphere at work and good luck to them. There are good people out there.

I think cakes at work is a great thing. I am working from home on my own so bring them on

This is a huge problem.

In my office buying cakes to celebrate is the norm. Last week I celebrated an event that warranted cakes so I spent a fortune buying cakes for the office.

As I am now working at home on my own getting through 10 boxes of Mr Kipling has been really difficult.
