Even after terms have been agreed the player and or selling club may ask for a couple of days to think it over.

In other words the agent leaks that the deal has been done and hopes that a bigger club matches or betters the offer. If no movement they go ahead and sign.

So will West Ham or Fulham now make a move, I hope not.

One more point

I was reading a tweet about Eze (possibly) signing and the comments were very revealing. Villa and West Ham fans asking why Palace can get a player signed whilst their clubs muck about. Seems that all fans think along similar lines.

Eze is supposedly our number one target who we have been monitoring for 2 seasons.
If it’s true that we initially bid £8 million I’m not surprised that was treated with derision with QPR leaking details which in turn has attracted the interest of other clubs.
We’d be in no position to seek exclusivity in negotiations with such an approach.
I understand how negotiations work, but sometimes you can be too clever for your own good .
As it is it looks like we’ll now have to top bids from Fulham and possibly other interested clubs and we could end up paying more than if we had put in a more sensible bid in the first place and closed the deal quickly.
Just close the deal if he’s the player the club really want.

Eze should be completed this week fee agreed & player terms agreed.
