Most certainly. If they are start coming down with it at the same time, combined with increased hospital numbers we're going to see a lot of otherwise avoidable deaths.

They do seem to be botching the vaccine rollout somewhat in terms of their priorities and also IT systems perpetually not being up to the task [Link]

Also, if they're going to pause peoples livelihoods again, they may want to consider that it's probably entirely pointless if schools are still open in some capacity.

This vaccine doesnt stop it from being contagious it just protects from getting poorly and under 60s generally dont; Therefore vulnerable amongst the staff yes but as a general rule no. It has to work from the system implemented. That's how you stop hospital admissions and reduce deaths.

Abig issue at the moment is nhs staff availability, bed availability and capacity. Vaccinating nhs staff solves a lot of numbers quickly and ongoing.

Positive cases up again but the numbers in intensive care are less than half compared to April.
Also -given the positive cases together with numbers in hospital - deaths are comparatively low.
I am not saying that any death is good but 8/9 months ago the figure was double and more.

I think treatments are now known so keeping deaths down. It still doesnt mean we wont see more deaths though due to the amount catching C19.

I listened to a trust director today who said the reason wards are empty is because staff have been moved to work on covid wards so clearly cannot be on a general ward. A mental health worker also said some of her previously medically trained staff have been requested to work on hospital wards. Another quack said that having so many in ICU for the same condition is scary. Normally he said you may have one car crash, one heart attack, one op etc but all with exactly the same! Before covid there were empty wards but I dont recall any posts asking why the nhs constantly bleats about not enough money.
If the press wernt censored to show actual covid wards and the horror these staff are seeing then you will be able to convince with conspiracy theories. Listen to actual nhs frontline staff for the truth. Maybe because you havent been close to it you dont beleive it. If you do get close to it you will have the balls to say you were wrong!

HUGE bucket of s*** heading Labours way. One would imagine Spin Doctors literally tearing their hair out at the moment.

I think it was a race as to which MP jumped the queue first I expect we will find that Tories have been getting it privately. Sigh our lords and masters.

I suspect not. Political suicide at the moment, all snakes and no ladders. Suspect Labour will defend the guy but I cannot imagine they are happy with him. It is BAD politics for any MP to be seen doing this at the moment.

I appreciate you putting your thoughts down in language that I can understand, cryst.
Some of the responses I get (mentioning no names) is all round the houses and unfathomable to be frank. I sometimes think I'm communicating with A.I. algorithms instead of flesh and blood CP supporters.
You're also completely right to question me and my posts.
Because it's not about what some stranger says on a football forum, is it?
It's about what rings true and resonates with you and YOU only.
Yes, question me, but also question EVERYTHING !
I'm not going to start blabbering on about my feelings about mainstream media this time.
I just want to highlight courage, yes, courage is what's needed to engage with the possibility of massive deception with this stuff. Rather than complacency in one's own safe haven, surely the biggest balls belong to one who is open and refuses to just accept the one and only narrative we're being told?
Peace.
