Didn’t watch game but from what I’ve read, Olise and Eze superb. If true, the two players I’d want playing well for future dreams look to be doing so and therefore all looks a lot brighter. There has to be little doubt this team is built upon an Andersen/Guehi foundation however. Nice to end year on a high! I’m thrilled

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Much needed win. Wouldn't say it was great against one of the favourites for relegation and with half of their team virus'd up but hopefully it'll do something for the confidence but let's not get carried away.
Thought the back 4 was excellent, Wilf not in it until the last 15 mins and Hughes instantly making something happen within a minute of being on as well as barking instructions and geeing everyone up for the last 5 mins was great to see, would love to see him in the side.

To all those who kept the faith - well done.

The result is one huge sigh of relief, another loss and the mire awaited. 15 shots of which 6 were on target!

Yippee!

How do you assess a match like that? More or less the same team Guehi and Ward aside and yet 180 minutes of zero attempts versus 90 minutes of 15 attempts.

I think the big difference was that Bournemouth didn’t harass us and dominate the midfield like Fulham did, hence we were able to play more of our preferred style of game.

I suppose if we had 3 draws the last 3 matches then we would have been disappointed but not overly so and we are left in a position where we have the same number of points.

Bournemouth are in trouble I reckon and Fulham proved last week wasn’t a flash in the pan by winning again today so I can’t really decide if that was a decent performance or whether we were playing the worst team in the league.

Suspiciously easy win, which we will take all day.

I expected much more from Bournemouth, they have had some very good days but really looked average for the PL.

Much better intensity from Palace.

On to Spurs that will tell me much more.

Hope we haven't caught the lergy off them , we will need to be at it next week .
Decent enough effort today and a deserved win against a poor side who will be relegated

For us though I hope the recent poor form and bad luck is over for a while and we can grab a few points with the more challenging games to come

Keep calm and carry on , COYP

And we still need a striker

It’s ironic - but the two red cards against Fulham could possibly have done us a favour.

The team were focused and really looked up for it

Ward - much better defensively than Mitchell
Tompkins - will be warming the subs bench for the rest of the season

I do wonder what Sam Johnstone thoughts will be? Does he push for a loan move to get some first team football?

One big difference, Guehi for Tomkins. He is finished at this level. Shocking before he went off, then got himself dismissed for two petulant yellow cards when we were already down to 10 men - inexcusable. Well done today though, we needed the points with a tough run of fixtures upcoming.

Not sure it will. It just tells me we can beat the struggling teams. No way we can expect to compete with the likes of Tottenham. Just seen the highlights what a great goal from Eze and a well-worked corner. Big relief today and can enjoy tonight now.

This is what it ultimately comes down to IMO. When you look at the bare facts on Boxing Day Tomkins put pressure on the entire left side of the team and back four. Assisted by Schlupp going missing which in turn put Mitchell under pressure.

Let's pray they stay fit for the rest of season or Richards proves an able deputy when he's fit.

Huge moment in the season. Massive well done to Pat and the team today.

Good to see us winning a match which Zaha was not at his best in.
He played well, they all did but we are becoming better all round and less dependent on Wilf.
The man we really miss nowadays is Guehi. What a difference he made today.
The back four played very well today.
Three points was very pleasing and keeps us in a good place.

They did and I thought Ward was very solid.
