Dyke says those rules don't apply to others, including sports presenters. Which is bourne out by the behaviour of others in the past. Taking Lineker off-air in this way creates the impression, rightly or wrongly, that the BBC is responding to government pressure. This it must never do, or we all are weakened. It will be very interesting to see how this works out. I think the BBC staff, as a whole and not just the sports department, will be hopping mad.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

Ask one question, and answer honestly, if Lineker had expressed an opinion, similar to J K Rowling, about trans gender or LBQT, what would be the opinion of the people who today are supporting him, hypocrites

Over 9000 license fees go directly into Gary Lineker's pocket. The fact that the BBC's highest paid person is apparently exempt from it's own rules is ridiculous.

I have often suspected that the Labour Party or other Left wing organisations have sleepers who sign up to various sites and try to shut down or influence opinion on high profile matters when instructed. Maybe I just have a vivid imagination.

Only a total moron thinks that you can just allow ever increasing illegal immigration, which is already over loading the system, and do nothing about it.

What is wrong with what Lineker said, we're trying to ship illegal immigrants to a country which is run by a government who orchestrated the worst genocide in the 21st century. Over 1 million butchered for being born into a minority tribe.
