Palace played out a 0-0 bore draw with Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough tonight.

The closest that Palace came to a goal was Andy Johnson hitting the post with a header.

Palace suffered an injury blow in the 21st minute when Steven Thomson had to be replaced by Aki Riihilahti.

In the 30th minute, Wayne Routledge forced Wednesday keeper Kevin Pressman to pull off a wonderful fingertip save. Shefki Kuqi responded with a 20-yard effort which went wide.

A few minutes before half-time, Johnson had a header cleared by the Wednesday defence and forced Kevin Pressman into a save, while Sibon blasted wide from 20 yards.

In the second half, Leon Knight and Alan Quinn had shots which missed the target and down the other end, Dele Adebola and Aki Riihilahti also fired wide.

The score was probabaly a fair result and it was Wednesday's fourth successive league draw.
