Simon Jordan
Simon Jordan has attacked the Palace fans giving Trevor Francis a hard time.
Speaking in his programme notes, he said: "Our performance (against Grimsby) was patchy and we really only really looked in control when Trevor Francis took Tommy Black off and reverted to a 4-4-2.
"From that point we scored our second goal and created enough chances to have made the result more convincing.
"Without wishing to be contentious, for a manager to make a substitution when a team is winning and to be greeted with howls of derision as Trevor Francis was is just bloody nonsense.
"Of course, the best riposte is to do exactly what the team did and score.
"But there seems to be an undercurrent of waiting for the manager to make a mistake or do something that people either do not understand or agree with.
"Surely this is not what this club is about. People are obviously entitled to an opinion but it would be nice if it was constructive."
