Teerathep Winothai
The Palace youth team moved into the second round of the FA Youth Cup with a 2-0 win at Burnley.
Teeratep Winothai gave the young Eagles a great start when he scored after 15 minutes with a top goal at Turf Moor.
The Thai international picked up the ball on the half-way line and ran alone into the box and fired past Clarets' keeper Michael Hale into the botTOM corner.
Before half-time, Palace doubled their advantage. Ben Watson's free-kick took a deflection off the wall and keeper Hale somehow managed to let the ball slowly go through his legs and over the goal-line.
Palace had most of the possesion in the second half over a much younger Burnley side but couldn't add to the scoreline.
They now face Notts County at home in the next round.
Palace: Lance Cronin, Glen Wilson, Sam Togwell, James Gibson, Gary Borrowdale, TOM SOARES, Ben Watson, Teeratep Winothai (Tyrone Berry 69), Gavin Heeroo, Adam Hey, Kerem Bashkal (Gary Prigent 90).
Subs not used: David Wilkinson, Nathan Simpson.
