Thomson in Hibs trial

Steve Thomson is going to Scottish Premier side Hibernian on trial with a view to a permanent move.

Thomson, 25, can leave Selhurst Park on a free transfer at the end of the season and Hibs want to bring in a host of new players due to a mass clearout at Easter Road.

The Scots described Thomson as a "no-nonsense, commanding central midfielder," which is quite amusing!

Hibs boss Bobby Williamson said: "We're taking Steve in for a few days to have a look at him but he is only one of a number of players who have come to our attention as we look to bring new faces to Hibs."
