Team news
Kaviedes could replace Hungarian international Sandor Torghelle in attack if he hasn't recovered from his leg injury sustained in Wednesday night's friendly against Scotland.
Michael Hughes (groin), Mikele Leigertwood (knee), Darren Powell (knee) should be fit to play on Saturday.
Definitely out for the Eagles are Danny Butterfield (hamstring) and Neil Shipperley (knee).
Everton have not won away in 2004 and will be looking for a first win in eight Premiership games.
Defender Joseph Yobo is almost certainly to be rested due to a long standing problem of fluid on the knee.
Fellow defender Alan Stubbs is fighting to overcome a groin problem, so Scottish veteran David Weir is standing by.
Kevin Kilbane and James McFadden have recovered from minor injuries and will play at Selhurst Park.

Nigerian international Yobo, is one of the most diverse players in the Everton squad.
He can play right back, centre back or in the midfield, with his strengths coming from his composure & strength on the ball and his willingness to push forward whilst still retaining posession. He is also good in the air and can be very hard to knock off the ball.
He was probably Everton's best player in their opening day fixture against champions Arsenal in an overall lacklustre perfomance.
This preview might be somewhat different however if a certain Mr Wayne Rooney had been fit. But he's not. So Hudson, Poppo, Boyce, Hall, etc, will have far less on their hands without the boy wonder knocking about.
