Ten-man Palace reserves continued their good start to the season with a 3-1 win at home to Derby County.
Hungarian striker Sandor Torghelle got his second red card in a row for two bookable offences. He was sent off in the first team win at Charlton in the Carling Cup last Tuesday.
But goals from Neil Shipperley and Ivan Kaviedes sealed the victory for the reserves against a young Derby side.
The young Rams dominated the early proceedings and nearly scored with efforts from Lee Holmes and David Cassidy but keeper Lance Cronin made good saves.
Palace fought back with two Shipperley shots on goal; the first was narrowly wide and the second hit the post. But he put the Eagles in front by nodding in Danny Butterfield's 33rd minute cross from close range.
Peruvian striker Gianfranco Labarthe Tome got a deserved leveller for Derby on 51 minutes, slotting past Cronin from Nathan Doyle's pass.
Torghelle went close with a header after 73 minutes but saw red two minutes later when he picked up his second booking following another foul.
With nine minutes remaining Palace won a penalty when Tommy Black was felled in the box and Kaviedes put away the spot-kick.
Seconds later, the Ecuadorian international striker added another when he latched on to Shipperley's throughball, went past two defenders and fired home.
Palace: Cronin, Butterfield, Powell, Hudson, Borrowdale, Andrews, Danze, Black, Kaviedes, Shipperley, Torghelle.
Subs not used: Soares, Wilkinson, El-Salahi, Fray, Dolan.
