Palace v Tottenham Hotspur

Selhurst Park, Saturday 3.00pm

Michael Hughes

Michael Hughes

Team news

Granville and Hughes are back after missing last Saturday's game with Manchester City through suspension.

Joonas Kolkka is rated as slightly better than 50/50 to make the clash, but the game has come too early for Aki Riihilahti who is still out with a calf injury.

Gonzalo Sorondo is expected to resume his centreback partnership with Fitz Hall after playing at right back against Spurs, with Emmerson Boyce likely to move to his more familiar left back role.

Mikele Leigertwood should retain his defensive midfield role in the absence of Riihilahti.

Tottenham Hotspur's bad boy

Michael Brown, Jermaine Defoe - 5 0

Palace old boys

None

Bought from Sheffield United, in last season's January transfer window, has been one of the reason's for Tottenham's steady perfomances this season.

Brown, signed for a miserly £400,000, had a slow start to his Premiership career, however, this season has seen himself play in 16 of Tottenhams Premiership games, and has firmly showed his best position is Center Midfield, after originally been played in different positions.

Brown's speciality is making run's from Deep and penetrating the oppositions Defence, which often results in a Tottenham Goal.

Tottenham have fantastic players all over the field, noticably, Jermaine Defoe, and Ledley King. Defoe has a habit of scoring against Palace, having scored braces against us for both Tottenham and West Ham. Ledley King is the final Piece of the Puzzle for Tottenham, the first attack is defence.

One player who may not play, is Fredi Kanouté, however, if he does play, he's another player who enjoys scoring against us, scoring a hat trick against Palace last season.
