Andy Johnson
Andy Johnson has won a call-up to the England squad that faces Wales and Northern Ireland in World Cup qualifiers.
Johnson netted twice in Palace's 2-0 win over Stoke on Saturday to take his tally to four for the season.
He had to pull out of the England squad which played Denmark earlier this month with a hamstring injury.
Now AJ hopes to add to his two England caps by playing in Saturday's game against Wales and against the Irish on the following midweek.
"I was devasted to miss out against Denmark but hopefully I've done enough to book my place," said Johnson.
Clinton Morrison is in the Ireland squad for the World Cup qualification clash with France on September 7 at Lansdowne Road.
Tony Popovic has been called up for Australia's World Cup qualifying matches against the Solomon Islands in early September.
TOM SOARES has been named in the England U21 squad for the UEFA Championship qualifiers against Wales and Germany in September.
