Crystal Palace centenary
Colin Healy hopes to seal a move to Crystal Palace by impressing in a trial.
The midfielder was released by Sunderland last month and has not played a first-team match since breaking his leg in December 2003.
Healy has been on trial at Palace's Beckenham training complex and will run out for the reserves next week.
Boss Iain Dowie said: "Colin will probably play a game next week, and that will be the acid test for him.
"I'm mindful of the fact that he's been out for more than two years. Colin has to tell us when he's right, and we will play him.
"We are edging closer to that stage. He will have a full week's training, and we will see how he goes in the match.
"After that, we will make a judgement on him. We need to get his fitness levels right up this week."
