Palace have had a bid of £750,000 turned down by Wolverhampton Wanderers for striker Carl Cort.
Cort, who is the cousin of another Palace target Leon Cort, got 11 goals for the Midlands club last season, but missed three months with a knee injury.
Wolves' chief executive Jez Moxey today confirmed that the club had received an offer from the Eagles.
Moxey said: "We have had an offer from Palace and it was immediately rejected."
Meanwhile, it has been rumoured that Palace have upped their bid for Leon Cort to £1.3m, after their inital bid of £750k was rejected.
