Palace have signed Blackburn Rovers striker Shefki Kuqi in a £2.5 million deal.

The 29-year-old signs on a three year contract from the Premiership club, who he moved to back in 2005.

He only managed a handful of games though for Blackburn and has returned to the Championship which was a level where he has been most successful in the past.

He originally came to England to play for Stockport County, but moved onto Sheffield Wednesday in a £1 million deal.

At Wednesday he scored 19 goals in over 60 appearances and then went on loan to Ipswich, where he finally ended up on a free transfer.

The Finnish striker scored 32 goals in 88 games for Ipswich before being snapped up by Mark Hughes' Blackburn.
