Peter Taylor will field a strong side when Crystal Palace head to Colchester on Sunday.
The Eagles manager had intended to put out a team of youngsters for the last match of the season.
But with Colchester still having an outside chance of making the play-offs, Taylor has changed his mind.
"I honestly said to myself it was going to be a really young team. That's not going to be the case now," he said.
"It would be a little unfair. If all of a sudden, somebody like Stoke, Wolves or Southampton get beat, and Colchester beat us 25-0, they could make the play-offs."
Palace are set to name an un-changed team from last week's win over Derby. Winger Stuart Green is in contention after recovering from a shoulder injury.
Keeper Julian Speroni will be handed another start after impressing in his previous two outings.
Taylor said: "I was very impressed with him on Sunday. He was very positive so I want to have another look."
Colchester midfielder Johnnie Jackson faces a late fitness test.
Left-back Chris Barker is banned after his red card at Stoke which means George Elokobi or John White will step in.
