Crystal Palace midfielder JAMIE POLLOCK has joined promotion-chasing Birmingham on a month's loan. .

POLLOCK, who only arrived at Palace from Manchester City in a £750,000 in August, had recently been put on the transfer list after falling out with boss Alan Smith.

Palace were keen to off-load POLLOCK after completing the £1.5m signing of former Selhurst Park favourite David Hopkin from Bradford earlier this week.

The 26-year-old will go straight into the squad for Birmingham's trip to Stockport tomorrow (Saturday).

Birmingham boss Trevor Francis moved for POLLOCK after injuries to several midfielders, including skipper Martin O'Connor, began to affect his club's promotion bid.
