Julian Speroni
Julian Speroni admits Crystal Palace's ambition for success was a key factor in signing a new contract.
The keeper penned a three-year deal this week to end speculation over his future as his contract was due to end in the summer.
Having conceded the fewest goals in the Championship and keeping 11 clean sheets, Eagles boss Neil Warnock was keen to renew the Argentine's services.
And the 28-year-old, who joined from Dundee in 2004, was thrilled to extend his stay at Selhurst Park after contract negotiations were finalised.
"I'm very pleased to know what's happening in the future," he said. "As I said before many times I'm very happy here and I'm happy to stay.
"In football you never know, everything changes very quickly. This year at least I know I'm on board a very good project and I'm glad the gaffer and the people here at Crystal Palace want me to be part of it.
"I think we can achieve a lot of things here so that was one of the reasons why I was very happy to stay because I believe that we can go far.
"You have to be focused on the football. I don't like to be talking about contracts and negotiations, I know it happened but on Saturday at 3pm that's over. My job is to do the best for the club."
