Crystal Palace won their first summer friendly with a 4-3 triumph away to Aldershot Town.

After successive draws over Bromley and Crawley Town, Neil Warnock's men got their pre-season up and running with a win over the League Two new boys.

New signing from Luton Calvin Andrew made his debut as both sides scored two penalties each in a thrilling encounter at the EBB Satdium - watched by 1,436 supporters.

Shots striker John Grant netted a brace - one of which was a penalty kick - and Marvin Morgan scored the other spot-kick.

Dougie Freeman and youngster Jamie Smith scored penalties and the other goals were netted by James Dayton and Boreham Wood trialist Simon Collins.
