Team news

Eagles centre-back Paddy McCarthy is still out with his troublesome shoulder problem. Winger Sean Scannell has a hamstring injury and is doubtful of playing, while left-back Lee Hills is suspended after his red card on loan at Oldham.

Watford goalkeeper Richard Lee has recovered from a knee injury and will take his place on the bench. Ross Jenkins (back) and defender Jay DeMerit (eye) are still sidelined for the Hornets.

Quotes

Roy Hodgson

"It's going to be a tough game, they are one of the form teams at the moment. But we are concentrating on ourselves and trying to get some more goals from other areas other than just relying on Darren Ambrose."

Malky Mackay

"Palace don't concede very many goals and Neil Warnock's a man who has been in the division and top class football for a long time.

"Neil's teams always give every bit of effort for him out on the pitch so I wouldn't expect any difference this weekend.

"He's got a lot of experience in the game so I'm expecting a tough encounter on Saturday at Selhurst Park. But we're competitive every week and that's what I want from my team all the time."
