Nick Carle
Nick Carle has been named in a preliminary Australian 31-man squad for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
Although the 28-year-old has featured in less than half of Palace's games in the 2009/10 season, Socceroos coach Pim Verbee has kept faith in the midfielder.
The provisional 31-man squad will be trimmed down to the final 23 on June 1.
As part of their final preparations for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, Australia will play international friendly matches against DenMARK and the United States on the 1st and 5th June, respectively, at Ruimsig Stadium near Johannesburg.
