Crystal Palace are reported to be interested in signing Middlesbrough striker Andy Campbell.

The Eagles are facing competition from Norwich City for the England Under-21 international.

After reports about Hayles and Shipperley possibly joining The Eagles, news has emerged that Palace are tracking Campbell.

The 22-year-old has failed to land a first team spot at The Riverside Stadium and looks set to leave the club.

Steve Bruce had Campbell on loan at Sheffield United a couple of seasons ago and is keen to sign him, but he faces competition from 1st Division rivals Norwich City.

Palace are expected to be able to offer the striker, who is valued at £500,000, better personal terms than Norwich though.

Meanwhile, Palace are closer to signing Huddersfield central defender Chris Lucketti who is said to have made it clear he wants to leave the club. Burnley are also after the former Bury skipper.

Bruce had signed Lucketti from Bury for a fee of £700,000 during his spell as manager at the McAlpine Stadium.
