Julian Speroni had an inspired game as Crystal Palace drew 0-0 at home to Burnley.

The goalkeeper kept Burnley at bay with a string of saves as the Clarets also hit the bar twice.

Palace started well with loanee Alex Marrow going on a surging run form right-back to cross for Kieran Djilali but he blazed over.

Andy Dorman then forced Clarets keeper Brian Jenson into a finger tip stop from his powerful strike.

Chris Eagles then rattle the bar with a ferocious drive from 30 yards with Speroni beaten.

Speroni had to be alert to make a smart save to his left to keep out a low shot from Jay Rodriguez.

Eagles and Rodriguez had further efforts as the visitors took control. Palace threatened on the break and sub Wilfried Zaha got through on goal but Jenson pounced at his feet with the teenager taking too long to shoot.

Late on, Rodriguez hit the angle of the goal and Neil Danns smacked the post but it was Palace went home happier of the two teams.
