Crystal Palace lost 2-1 by a stoppage time winner from league leaders QPR at Selhurst Park.

Palace started brightly with midfielder Owen Garvan hitting a post after four minutes before R's keeper Paddy Kenny made a good double save from Wilfried Zaha.

Julian Speroni had another fine game, bravely diving at the feet of in-form Jamie Mackie. Kaspars Gorkss then deflected Heidar Helguson's cross onto the crossbar.

Andy Dorman's goal-bound shot was well blocked by former Eagle Clint Hill and from the resulting corner Hogan Ephraim cleared Julian Bennett's header off the line.

Three minutes fter the break, Rangers went in front thanks to a mistake from Edgar Davids who was making his Eagles home debut.

His under-hit back pass failed to reach Speroni and Mackie pounced to round the keeper and square to Adel Taarabt who scored.

Palace got a deserved equaliser two minutes from the end after a brilliant piece of skill from Wilfired Zaha mugged Hill and he crossed for sub Kieron Cadogan to score.

But deep into time added on, Rangers substitute Tommy Smith delivered a cross to the far post and Helguson appeared to foul Speroni as he bundled the ball into the net.

Speroni was cautioned for his protests but Rangers kept up their unbeaten record to stay at the top of the table.
