Jonathan Parr
Crystal Palace claimed their first victory of the season with a 2-0 win at home to Burnley.
The Eagles started brightly and took the lead after 10 minutes when on-loan left-back Ryan McGivern sent over an inch-perfect cross for summer signing Jonathan Parr who was unmarked to head home.
Palace doubled the lead on 67 minutes from the penalty spot. Sean Scannell, who caused the Burnley defence problems all game, jinked his way past defender Ben Mee who tripped jim in the box. Owen Garvan then converted the spot-kick.
Marvin Bartley was sent off for the Clarets in the last minute for a violent clash with Parr to round off a miserable afternoon for the visitors.
Palace: Speroni, Ramage, McCarthy, Tunchev, McGivern, Ambrose (Dikgacoi 49), Parr, Wright, Garvan, Easter (Zaha 71), Scannell (Andrew 83).
Not Used: Price, Jedinak.
Burnley: Grant, Trippier, Amougou, Mee, Easton, Wallace, McCann, Elliott, Edgar (Austin 63), Treacy (Bartley 72), Rodriguez.
Not Used: Jensen, Duff, Marney.
