Crystal Palace scored three goals in the last ten minutes to secure a 3-1 win over rivals Brighton.

Brighton drew first blood after just seven minutes when Ryan Harley fed a short corner to Gary Dicker whose cross at the byline was turned in by Craig Mackail-Smith.

Former Brighton striker Glenn Murray was denied an equaliser before the break when sent through by Jon Williams but he screwed his shot wide while under pressure from Lewis Dunk.

The Eagles upped the pressure in the second half with Wilfried Zaha seeing an angled shot deflected wide. And from the resulting corner, Mackail-Smith cleared Paddy McCarthy's header off the line after keeper Casper Ankergren missed Sean Scannell's cross.

Ankergren did well to block Jonathan Parr's powerful strike before Palace grabbed a deserved leveller in the 80th minute when Zaha dribbled past two defenders and slotted home.

Then substitute Darren Ambrose netted a dramatic second goal with a minute left on the clock after Ankergren saved his initial shot.

And Murray silenced the boo boys to make it 3-1 in stoppage time with a cool finish from the edge of the area.

Palace: Speroni, Wright (Ambrose 78), McCarthy, Moxey, Tunchev, Ramage (Parr 51), Jedinak, Williams (Gardner 90+5), Scannell, Zaha, Murray.

Not used: Price, Easter.

Brighton: Ankergren, Taricco (Vincelot 59), Greer, Dunk, Painter, Bridcutt, Dicker, Harley (Vicente 69), Barnes, Mackail-Smith, Noone (LuaLua 64).
