Marrow sent to Preston

January 27 2012

Alex Marrow

Alex Marrow

Crystal Palace midfielder Alex Marrow has moved to Preston North End on loan for the rest of the campaign.

Marrow's season has been beset by injury but he has now fully recovered from ankle and knee problems.

The loan stint will help the former Blackburn Rovers trainee regain full fitness with a run of first team games at Deepdale.

The 22-year-old has managed just one start and two sub appearances for Palace this term which included a nine minute spell off the bench against Blackpool last weekend.

Marrow has made 25 appearances for the Eagles since arriving from Blackburn - initially on loan - last season.

He already has experience of League One football having played for a season at Oldham Athletic while on loan from Blackburn in 2009/10.
