Glenn Murray
Crystal Palace blew a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at Birmingham City.
The Eagles missed chance to regain top spot in the Championship after Cardiff's surprise defeat to Peterborough.
Palace stole the lead six minutes before half-time when Yannick Bolasie broke down the right and crossed for Glenn Murray to prod home.
Murray scored his second goal of the day and his 20th of the season after good work by Jonathan Parr to put Palace in the driving seat.
However, substitute Nikola Zigic pulled a goal back for Brum in the 66th minute with a header from Marlon King's cross.
And they claimed a 2-2 draw thanks to Papa Bouba Diop's headed effort and Robert Hall's assist to leave the Eagles ruing two dropped points.
Palace stay in second but wins for Hull, Middlesbrough and Millwall mean they are hot on their tail.
