Palace suffer more away misery

Crystal Palace's away day woes continued with a 1-0 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday.

The Eagles are now without a win in 10 games on the road and missed the opportunity to close in on the automatic promotion places after Hull City's loss and Leicester's draw.

Wednesday had the better of the first half with David Prutton volleying over, Leroy Lita nodding straight at Julian Speroni and Kieran Lee had an effort blocked on the line.

Palace were a much improved side after the break and totally dominated as Stephen Dobbie's half-volley was saved by Chris Kirkland.

But they failed to make it count and were dealt a blow in the 81st minute when Lita's header from Michail Antonio's cross went in off the underside of the bar to give Wednesday maximum points.
