Selhurst Park, Saturday 3.00pm

Jonathan Parr

Jonathan Parr

Team news

Eagles full-back Jonathan Parr is a doubt after limping off with an ankle injury in the midweek defeat at Ipswich. Jazz Richards is ready to step in. Jon Williams will be checked on after coming off at the break in the same game.

Captain Mile Jedinak sits out the second of a two-game ban for picking up 10 yellow cards this season. There's an outside chance midfielder Owen Garvan will make a return to the side after a knee problem.

Winger Jason Banton could feature after being recalled from a loan spell at Plymouth. Recent signing Aruna Dindane is still not up to the required match fitness to play.

Long-term casualty Paddy McCarthy is still out with a groin injury and on-loan striker Alex Nimely is also out (hamstring).

Leicester are unchanged from their midweek success over Bolton.

Quotes

Roy Hodgson

"We've got to believe in ourselves. It's going away from us and we've got to try and get it back. Life is like that. You have to be brave enough to pull things out of the fire but you won't do it unless you stick together. That is a huge test for us and let's see if we can bounce back.

"I need to support them through this. I've glad I've got 18 years experience. It's not good enough at this moment in time.

"We have got to try and take Leicester on and beat them. One goal might make a huge difference. At the minute we have got one bloke who's scored 30 [Murray] and the rest of the teammates aren't scoring.

"We'll try and share out that responsibility a bit, put some fresh people out there and let them have a go. We have got fantastic fans and they will come in and help us.

"They have created a wonderful atmosphere at Selhurst Park where there is no fear to play. We need that. Those boys need to get over this [defeat to Ipswich] and work hard - end of story. If anybody ever worked harder than me in their career, I'd like to meet them. I'm going to do the same again."

Andre Moritz

"We all take responsibility for personal mistakes because it's not just on one person, when we lose everybody loses. We are still in a good position and we can still do the play-offs – I still believe we can make the Premier League.

"Leicester is a big, big game now. We need the three points, and probably if we win, we'll confirm our place in the play-offs – we just need to be focussed now."

Nigel Pearson

"The other night we had a couple of players who haven't played a great deal coming back into the side, and we have a number who have played an awful lot of games.

"It is always about getting that balance right and making sure that, physically, they are recovered and we have the best preparation going into tomorrow's game. But the players are desperate to play, even if they are aching. That is the sort of mentality we want.

"Spirits are pretty positive after the other night and there is a sense of relief that we were able to see the game through and get the win. There aren't any injuries of any great concern. In those sorts of games, you always pick up a few bumps and bruises but, really, we will be more or less at full strength."
