Crystal Palace beat the Oman national side 2-0, with goals from Stephen Dobbie and Kyle De Silva.

Ian Holloway's starting line-up included new boys Cameron Jerome and Florian Marange, as well as Darcy Blake and Jonathan Parr returning from injury.

There were also places in the first 11 for Owen Garvan, Stephen Dobbie, and Aaron Wilbraham who didn't make the Premier League 25 man squad.

Jerome and Wilbraham had early chances for the Eagles, but couldn't beat Muhanad Al-Zaabi in the Oman goal.

Wilbraham even rounded the keeper just before the break, but his effort was cleared off the line by Abdullsalam Al-Mukhaini.

In the second half Palace continued to dominate proceedings, and Dobbie saw a strike hit the crossbar.

However his persistance won through when he opened the scoring on 69 minutes with a great finish.

Six minutes later Palace doubled their advantage when Wilbraham played the ball off to De Silva to curl an effort home.
