Palace shirts in the dressing room at Selhurst Park
Tony Pulis's first game as Crystal Palace manager ended with a 1-0 defeat at Norwich City.
Norwich were the better side in the first half and went ahead through Gary Hooper after 30 minutes but the Eagles deserved a point after their second half pressure.
Jason Puncheon and Cameron Jerome were recalled the Palace side as Norwich started the match brightly, going close to scoring after nine minutes.
Nathan Redmond sent in a free-kick which striker Johan Elmander smacked against the crossbar. The ball hit the line then bounced away and no signal came from the new Goal Decision System.
Redmond had a shot saved by Julian Speroni, before setting up the goal on the half hour mark. His cross from the right fell to Wes Hoolahan at the far post and he teed up Hooper to calmly slot home.
Palace almost grabbed an instant equaliser after Puncheon's cross from the right was pushed out by Ruddy and Barry Bannan's fierce drive was somehow kept out by Martin Olsson and the crossbar.
After the break, the Eagles went close to levelling matters when Dean Moxey's low cross from the left was cleared over his own crossbar by Sebastien Bassong just two yards out when it could have easily gone in.
Jerome snatched at a good chance to score when the ball fell to him six yards out, while sub Jimmy Kebe's brilliant turn and shot flew just past the post.
With Sunderland's draw at Aston Villa, it meant Palace dropped back to the bottom of the table.
