Crystal Palace dropped back into the relegation zone after drawing with Norwich City on New Years day.
Norwich went in front on 39 minutes through a deflected shot by Bradley Johnson.
Soon after Martin Olsson headed an effort by Cameron Jerome off the line, and then from the resulting corner Leroy Fer bundled Mile Jedinak over in the box, and referee Mike Dean pointed to the spot.
Jason Puncheon stepped up and slotted the penalty away to make it 1-1.
In the second half the only notable incident came when Fer fouled Jedinak and was sent off for a second yellow card.
The draw leaves Palace in 18th place in the Premier League on 17 points.
