Julian Speroni - first clean sheet in nine games

Crystal Palace dominated play but had to settle for a 0-0 draw at Tottenham Hotspur.

Eagles substitute Jason Puncheon went closest to breaking the deadlock when his shot smacked against the crossbar.

In the end, the Eagles picked up an important point and recorded their first clean sheet in nine games.

Wilfried Zaha and Yannick Bolasie, in particular, caused Spurs problems down the wing as Palace threw everything at their London rivals from the off.

Joe Ledley put a shot over, while down the other end, Roberto Soldado fired just off target for Tottenham.

Scott Dann forced a good block from Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris, while Soldado had a couple of half chances.

Puncheon crashed a shot against the bar 11 minutes from time as the Eagles turned the screw and then Puncheon had a 'goal' disallowed for offside. Ledley blazed over from close range at the end as the visitors should have put the game out of sight but Spurs hung on.

Tottenham: Lloris, Dier, Fazio, Vertonghen, Davies, Mason (Paulinho 65mins), Bentaleb, Lamela (Chadli 46), Kane, Eriksen, Soldado (Lennon 83).

Not used: Vorm, Rose, Kaboul, Stambouli

Palace: Speroni, Kelly, Dann, Hangeland, Ward, Jedinak, Zaha (Puncheon 65), McArthur, Ledley, Bolasie, Chamakh.

Not used: Campbell, Hennessey, Thomas, Gayle, Bannan, Delaney.
