Quotes

Roy Hodgson

"Hull's desire will be ten-out-of-ten, so if we can match that then we'll have a great chance of winning the game. That's something we need to make sure is right. Against West Brom I felt our focus was good but we made some tactical errors in that game, which I must take some responsibility for as well.

"It's important to understand we all make mistakes but make sure our motivation levels are really high on Saturday.

"My pure focus is to win this game. I do want a top ten finish now, because we've got ourselves in that position, and it certainly wasn't the case when I walked in.

"That's something that I know we've done well, I'm very, very proud of my players. They have been magnificent and our fans, too.

"We owe our fans a little bit. Last Saturday, we had the perfect scenario for a win. The stadium loved us to bits, even before we started and we let them down. We need to repay that faith."

Steve Bruce

"There’s a certain level that you have to get to, whether that’s 34, 35, 36 points or whatever. What I do know is that we still need to get a couple more results.

"So it doesn’t really matter what teams do around us, you’ve got to get the points on the board as soon as you can. There’s no doubt that we need to get a result to get us started again.

"We’ve got six games to play and after tomorrow, four out of the five are at home and I think that’s going to be pretty critical even though they are hard fixtures.

"Our home form has been decent until the turn of the year and we need to hope that’s the turning point for us."
