Crystal Palace ended their campaign on a winning note with a 1-0 home success against Swansea City.
The victory ensured a top-10 finish for Alan Pardew's side to cap a fantastic season under the Eagles manager since he arrived in January.
Palace thoroughly deserved the three points after a commanding performance right from the start. Jason Puncheon blasted over the first chance before Yannick Bolasie's deflected shot off Federico Fernandez landed inches over the upright.
Despite dominating possession, the Eagles failed to find the killer touch in the final third but it was no surprise to see them take the lead on 58 minutes.
Puncheon sent over a free-kick to the far side of the penalty area, Scott Dann headed the ball into the mixer, and Marouane Chamakh chested down and fired in his fourth of the season.
The dangerous Wilfried Zaha was millimetres away from scoring another after a probing run ended with a low shot that shaved the post.
Palace couldn't add any more goals but Pardew claimed the 10th win of his 18 league games as Palace manager as the Eagles finished the season in a Premier League joint-high of 10th place.
Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew:
"We knew we had a chance (to finish 10th) today. It's probably down to that win at Liverpool. It's remarkable, I'd never have dreamt it.
"Obviously Palace didn't quite find it in the first half. But we got the adrenaline and fight back.
"We have a squad here who is not short of quality or character and they've shown that. We have a strong group.
"It's been a great experience, I've thoroughly enjoyed it. I've loved working with the staff and players. We want to kick on now."
Swansea manager Garry Monk:
"A lot of our key players were missing. That's not an excuse and I can't fault the effort and the commitment but when they are missing, the quality is not quite there.
"I was disappointed with the loss but I can't complain too much. It's been an incredible season, to finish where we are with a record number of points.
"It's been a fantastic journey for me, the players and everyone at the club. Some of the quality has been the best I've seen at the club and hopefully it's a foundation to build on."
