Brede Hangleand
Crystal Palace defender Brede Hangeland says he's happy with a back-up role next season.
The 34-year-old impressed when called upon last term, making 17 appearances and netting two goals, as the Eagles finished in the top half of the Premier League.
He was rewarded with a one-year extension to his contract and the former Norway international is excited about being part of Palace's adventure under manager Alan Pardew.
"It's a great club and I really enjoyed last year," said the giant centre half. "The main thing is to keep going as long as I enjoy it – as long as someone finds me good enough to play at a certain level. I was really happy to extend my stay and I will try my best to make sure we are successful.
"I want to play like everyone else. But I'm very much a team player, like last year. I'd like to play every game but if I don't I'll still support the team and do the job when called upon. Try to keep the standards high in training.
"I'm at the stage in my career where I just want to be part of a nice little adventure and I think I can have that at Palace."
