Harry's tips: Palace v Blackpool

Harry Holmesdale gives us some betting tips for Crystal Palace's EFL Cup tie with Blackpool.

I hope some of you got on my 1-0 Spurs tip from the weekend. It can be tough betting against your own side but winning a little bit of moolah makes up from the pain of a defeat.

Alan Pardew's troops are overwhelming favourites in this second round tie with three divisions separating them and Blackpool. But like we know all too well with Palace, anything can happen in the cup.

Though Blackpool have never beaten Palace in three League Cup meetings, they have lost just once in 10 games against them in all competitions. And the men in orange have been successful in three of their last five League Cup ties against Premier League teams.

Backing a Blackpool win is 12/1 with bet365.

New boy Christian Benteke is likely to make his bow at Selhurst and is 7/2 to score the first goal with bet365.

Midfield maestro Yohan Cabaye is set for more game time on Tuesday night as he gets his fitness up and is worth a punt to score anytime at 5/2 with bet365 – especially as he is the main free-kick and penalty taker.

Palace to win by two goals is a nice 3/1, however, I'm going for Palace to triumph 2-1 at 13/2. Both prices are with bet365 where new customers can get up to £200 bonus.
