Crystal Palace were held to a goalless FA Cup third round draw away to Bolton Wanderers.
Sam Allardyce is still searching for his first win as Palace manager as an out-of-sorts Eagles were unable to see off their League One opponents.
Allardyce made seven changes from their last fixture against Swansea and handed on-loan Chelsea striker Loic Remy his Palace debut at the Macron Stadium.
The forward drew two good saves out of Bolton keeper Ben Alnwick and then he almost notched on his debut but his shot struck the base of the post.
Mathieu Flamini should have given Palace the lead on the half-hour mark but spooned his effort over the crossbar.
Julian Speroni, who set a new Palace record of 389 appearances for a goalkeeper, kept his side in the tie with two saves from James Henry.
Bolton hit a post themselves as Josh Vela almost got the winner in the second half, as Palace held out for a replay at Selhurst Park.
