No clean sheet for Wayne Hennessey again

No clean sheet for Wayne Hennessey again

Crystal Palace stay in the relegation zone after a 1-0 defeat at Stoke City.

Despite a much-improved performance from last week's dire 4-0 loss to Sunderland, manager Sam Allardyce still has one win from his eight league games in charge.

Serbian Luka Milivojevic was handed his Palace debut after finally getting his visa paperwork through and put in a solid display in the holding midfield role.

The home side shaded a fairly even first half, with Stoke's Marko Arnautovic testing keeper Wayne Hennessey and Joe Allen heading over, while James McArthur nodded wide for the Londoners.

Two minutes before the break, Palace were indebted to Andros Townsend who cleared Bruno Martins Indi's header off the line.

But Stoke got the only goal after 67 minutes when Arnautovic found Ramadan Sobhi who held the ball off to Allen and he slotted into the bottom corner.

Despite the introduction of Jeffrey Schlupp, Yohan Cabaye and Loic Remy, Palace failed to test the Stoke goal and slumped to yet another defeat.
