Palace v Watford

Selhurst Park, Tuesday 8.00pm

TFM: Should continue at right back against the Hornets

TFM: Should continue at right back against the Hornets

Team news

Palace will have to make do without Mamadou Sakho who injured his calf against Bournemouth. Joel Ward is still out (groin) so Timothy Fosu-Mensah should continue at right back.

Watford have a number of players on the sidelines - Nathaniel Chalobah (knee), Craig Cathcart (knee), Younes Kaboul (hamstring), Will Hughes (hamstring) and Stefano Okaka (calf) are all out.

Miguel Britos and Kiko Femina, who both missed Saturday's game against Burnley are available for selection, but Marvin Zeegelaar is suspended after picking up a red card in that game.

Quotes

Roy Hodgson

"Three things that I will say are good about Watford; their athleticism, their work rate and the quality of their individuals,"

"I have seen a very good team this year and we are preparing for the best Watford.

"They have done very well and they are ninth in the table because that is what their play has deserved and we know we have got our work cut out."

Marco Silva

"We need to be careful with Zaha - He's a good player, a player with very good talents.

"We'll pay attention to Zaha, to [Andros] Townsend, to [Ruben] Loftus-Cheek like Palace will pay attention to Richarlison, [Troy] Deeney, [Andre] Gray, [Andre] Carrillo and [Roberto] Pereyra.

"It will be a tough match. They have improved since Hodgson arrived, the quality of the football as well. The quality they have in the squad didn't reflect in the table. This is clear. They stay last in the table but quality in the squad didn’t reflect how they can play in the attack line.

"They have big quality in the attack line and in Milivojevic they have one player who I know very well [from our time at Olympiakos]. In one moment they can solve the solution. But we go there to compete, to take a good result. It’s one more challenge for us."
