Crystal Palace continued their fine unbeaten run to draw 1-1 away to Swansea City.

Roy Hodgson's men have now gone eight matches without defeat but this result keeps them two points above the relegation zone.

They were unlucky not to score an early opener after Lukasz Fabianski pulled off a fantastic diving save to keep out Andros Townsend's strike that was heading for the top corner.

Swansea had claims for a penalty denied by referee Craig Pawson when Jeffrey Schlupp tangled with Luciano Narsingh in the area.

Meanwhile, Ruben Loftus-Cheek curled a low effort just past the upright, before Wilfried Zaha prodded wide for the Eagles.

The decisive goal came in the 58th minute from the penalty spot after Swansea defender Federico Fernandez tripped Loftus-Cheek in the box and Palace midfielder Luka Milivojevic converted for his fifth of the season.

Tammy Abraham blasted off target for the division's bottom club and he then forced Julian Speroni into a save as the hosts began a fightback.

Palace were a threat on the counter with Zaha, Townsend and Loftus-Cheek looking dangerous but lacked the killer touch in front of goal.

Speroni blocked a deflected Nathan Dyer cross before Swansea drew level in the 77th minute. Substitute Jordan Ayew sold Milivojevic a dummy on the edge of the box and unleashed a fierce shot that gave Speroni no chance.

Ayew struck just wide moments later but the Premier League clash ended all square in south Wales.

Swansea: Fabianski, Naughton (Rangel 80), Fernandez, Mawson, Olsson, Clucas, Mesa (Fulton 89), Carroll, Narsingh (Ayew 66), Dyer, Abraham.

Not used: Nordfeldt, Van der Hoorn, Sanchez, McBurnie.

Palace: Speroni, Kelly, Tomkins, Dann, Schlupp, McArthur, Milivojevic, Cabaye (Sako 76), Loftus-Cheek, Townsend (Van Aanholt 85), Zaha.

Not used: Hennessey, Souare, Fosu-Mensah, Riedewald, Puncheon.
