Andros Townsend
Crystal Palace star Andros Townsend believes his partnership with Wilfried Zaha can fire the team up the table.
Eagles boss Roy Hodgson moved Townsend from the wing to play alongside Zaha against Chelsea last time out and he is enjoying the role after netting in the 3-1 defeat.
"I feel like we [Townsend and Zaha] trouble defences," said Townsend. "Any time I have been given the opportunity to play up there, I have really enjoyed it.
"Maybe we are not the tallest or the strongest but I think we link-up well. Hopefully, if we are given the nod again we can cause more trouble and score more goals."
With on-loan striker Jordan Ayew still without a goal, Townsend could keep him out of the side ahead of Saturday's match against Townsend's former club Tottenham Hotpur.
The 27-year-old is looking forward to playing against his old club, where he came up through the ranks.
"Spurs is my club," he said. "I was there from the age of seven or eight and it is always a nice occasion to play against them and see some old faces and I am sure it will be a good occasion again. Hopefully we can get a good result this time.
"It feels like a lot of games this season where the performance has deserved better than the result.
"We defend as a team and we attack as a team, we didn’t score enough and conceded too many, and that’s the bottom line.
"But we will move on and work hard in training and try to put the wrongs right against Spurs. We will rest up and go again on Saturday and hopefully we can get a better result."
