Crystal Palace secured a 2-0 fourth-round FA Cup victory at home to Tottenham Hotspur.

The Eagles claimed a first win over Spurs since 2016 when they went all the way to the cup final.

And they got off to the perfect start after nine minutes when Jeffrey Schlupp's shot was parried by keeper Paulo Gazzaniga and Connor Wickham put the ball over the line.

Palace were awarded a penalty in the 34th minute as Wilfried Zaha's high cross was handled by Spurs defender Kyle Walker-Peters in the area. Andros Townsend put away the spot-kick for 2-0.

Two minutes before half-time, Spurs earned themselves a penalty when Patrick van Aanholt brought down Juan Foyth in the area. But luckily for the Eagles, Kieran Trippier shot the resulting penalty wide of the goal.

Palace: Speroni, Ward, Dann, Kelly, Van Aanholt, Meyer (Milivojevic 79), Kouyaté, Schlupp, Townsend (Ayew 88), Zaha, Wickham (Benteke 70).

Not used: Tupper, Wan-Bissaka, Sakho, Riedewald.

Tottenham: Gazzaniga, Foyth, Vertonghen (Lamela 45), Sanchez, Trippier, Dier (Wanyama 62), Skipp, Walker-Peters, Moura (Sterling 81), Nkoudou, Llorente.

Not used: Lloris, Rose, Aurier, Winks.
