Crystal Palace confirmed their place in the Premier League next season with a 3-2 win at Arsenal.

Palace's first victory away to Arsenal in 25 years propels them to 42 points and guaranteed safety with three games to left to play.

Christian Benteke scored his first goal in a year to give Palace a 17th-minute lead with an unmarked header from Luka Milivojevic's free-kick on the right.

But Mesut Ozil equalised two minutes after the break with a neat finish from Alexandre Lacazette's assist.

Palace regained their lead just past the hour mark after Wilfried Zaha pounced on an error by Shkodran Mustafi to fire into the bottom corner.

James McArthur made it 3-1 to the Eagles on 69 minutes, heading home from Milivojevic's corner kick.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang gave Arsenal hope of a comeback when he shot low beyond Vicente Guaita from the edge of the area in the 77th minute.

And Roy Hodgson's men avoided losing both league fixtures against the Gunners for the first time since 1979/80.

Arsenal: Leno, Kolasinac, Mavropanos (Iwobi 45), Koscielny, Mustafi, Jenkinson (Maitland-Niles 45), Elneny (Torreira 69), Ozil, Guendouzi, Lacazette, Aubameyang.

Not used: Cech, Mkhitaryan, Monreal, Nketiah.

Palace: Guaita, Ward, Dann, Kelly, Wan-Bissaka, Meyer (Townsend 81), McArthur, Milivojevic, Kouyate, Zaha, Benteke (Ayew 77).

Not used: Hennessey, Van Aanholt, Riedewald, Sako, Batshuayi.
